9/30/19 Hunting & Fishing

Fishing & Hunting Reports:

Walleye Trollers: Fishing still seems to be good out front, fish moving back in as water cools down and still hitting Rattle Tots and Flicker Minnows. Cone reef, Locust and Niagara sound like good places to start, fish have been coming off the sides as well as right off the tops of the reefs.

Drifters:

Sounds like the fishing continues to be strong out front, Niagara, Locust, and Crane Creek as well as over East around Kellys Island all sound like they are producing fish pretty consistently.

Perch:

Things continue to be a struggle. Best reports coming from Toledo Lighthouse 21 foot of water, and out around B Can. They are still inconsistent…. Don’t forget to stop and get your Happy Hooker Perch Rigs, tied with Mustad Central Draught Hooks.

Hunting:

Deer Archery Season is open and many have hit the stands already. Herd seems to be in good shape and numbers are good from what we are hearing. Send us your pics and stories…

Youth Waterfowl season is this coming weekend Oct 5th and 6th bring your youngsters in and get their picture on our reports. Good Luck to all those that head out.

Congrats to Tyler Hein and our four legged friends Chief and Missy on a great day hunting in some hot and tough conditions, went through a lot of water bottles but they had a great time ….
