Walleye:  NO RECENT REPORTS DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS:

Bay Rat Long Extra Deeps were leading the charge most recently and like most lures a variety of colors are pulling fish. True-Trips and Spoons and Dipsys and spoons were pulling fish as well. Speed and depth continued to be the main key, as we continue to hear every color combo under the sun. It’s just continues to be a great year to fish and all signs point to that trend to continue.

Trollers: Still mostly running 2.5  ~ 2.8mph as a good starting point and vary that until you find what works. Best reports are North of B Can,  A to B Can Line, and out around the War Buoy.

Drifters: Out Front and down to Toussaint, G can, Picket fence continue to produce some fish from what we hear.

Perch: NO RECENT REPORTS DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS:

Some days were better than others, and its hit or miss. All in all slow fishing but you can get your fish some trips and others you won’t. Hopefully the cooler weather and water temp will turn them back on.

1.5~2mile east of the Intake, A, B and D Cans all getting decent reports. Sounds like fish continue to be large with few throwbacks and not a ton of junk. Reports from the Gravel Pit as well. Fish have been very nice size.

Hunting Reports:

Good Luck to those who venture out in this heat

Fair amount of Teal in the area but the weather has pushed some early birds south and there does not seem to be many new birds coming down yet since there weather has been better than ours lately. That should change with this cooler weather and the rain in the area.

Early Season Goose CLOSED Sept 9th.

Early Teal season remains open thru Sept 16th

Dove, Snipe, Rail and Squirrel all open.

Get your last minute supplies at the Happy Hooker, and good luck out there…..
