Fishing was a little tougher yesterday and many struggled to put fish in the boat. Crawler rigs, True-Trips and Spoons, Rattle Tots and Flicker Minnows have been leading the charge lately. Bandits are pulling fish again as well. Speed and depth continue to be more important than colors, as we continue to hear every color combo under the sun. It’s just continues to be a flat out great year to fish
Trollers: 2.5 ~ 2.8mph is a good starting point and vary that until you find what works for you. Right out front in , 110~18 FOW, Locust and Crane Creek, and Cone/Flatrock Reef areas all getting some good reports. Gravel Pit to the Turnaround Buoy still holding fish, Picket Fence, G and H Cans, 24~30 FOW the War Bouy, as well as Green and Rattlesnake still holding fish and producing as well.
Drifters: Gravel pit and North, North of B Can, and towards the War Bouy. To the east it’s, G can and right out in front of the Moose. Reports Early morning and late evening bites seem to be the best..
Fishing remains good, but the shiner situation has taken a nosedive, and live Emeralds are next to impossible to come by. We have Goldies and should have a good supply of those once that flow starts getting set in. Don’t forget about good old redworms, they catch perch pretty darn good as well.
A, B and D Cans were all getting very good reports and fish have been large. Reports from the Intake and Gravel Pit as well. To the East, Green and Rattlesnake have been good. Fish have been very nice size.
