Recent winds has put a damper on the activity with winds keeping a lot of folks off the water.
Fishing continues to be good, most continue pulling limits with some work when they can get out, but some have struggled. The crawler bite continues to be good and the trollers are running a lot of different areas and programs and doing good as well.
The fishing has been pretty consistent. Bandits are leading the pack out in the deeper water lines, Jets and Spoons are in the mix, and Bay Rats being mentioned as well. Hopefully the inside bite will still be still holding up off Crane Creek and down towards Minkies. The satellite view looks promising as the winds didn’t dirty it up much. I would try Rattle Tots and Flicker Minnows in 15 to 21 foot of water. As with most of the year, colors change from day to day and there has not been much consistency except that metallic colors seem to be doing the best day in day out.
The crawler harness bite continues to be good, hearing a lot of talk about the same areas as the trollers, and also East over around Green. Some still casting that inside bite from H Can to Crane Creek, also out around Niagara and Big Pick as well. Variety of colors mentioned, but as always, Golds and Purples still seem to lead the pack. Things continue to be looking good.
Best reports have been from the Gravel Pit as well as the Intake and some reports from A Can as well. Starting to get a few more reports but most still seem to be chasing the walleye.
Congrats to the customers and crew of Reel Easy Charters on another great day on the lake.
