River levels are up. Freemont fishing has been very good.
Lake is mudded up but clearing and fishing has been improving.
Trollers: Better Reports yesterday, east of the Islands, and some from Cone Reef and Niagara Reef areas. Pulling Bandits and DHJ12s at 1~1.5 45 foot back off the sides of the reefs. Pulling a lot of chrome or metallic baits on short leads up in the sun in afternoon sun (if we ever get any again). Last few days have been a tough bite
Drifters: Yesterday reports were much improved over past few days. Jig bite reports from most reefs and several reported pulling limits on hair jigs off shallower reefs. Locust, Turtle, and Toussaint all had good reports, and even heard Crane creek mentioned a few times.. Not peaking just yet but a big improvement and most reported they were pulling some fish. (Slow is key) some still are sitting on top of them and vertical jigging, but a lot of hair jig reports.
Some good reports of nice Perch catches mixed in with the Walleye before the winds. I would try any of the normal Perch spots, next few days will be a bust with these winds. Had some good reports from A can and Niagara areas, and Green and Rattlesnake.
Been getting some decent reports as the water clarity improves. Several reports of good numbers and sized fish in the creeks. Need some first hand intel….
Water temps continue to climb and they are doing better. With the upcoming warming trend they should be firing up.
