River levels are rising from light rains last three days. Should continue to rise and get stained from the rains which should help the temps continue to climb. Freemont fishing has been very good.
Lake is mudded up but clearing and fishing has been improving.
Trollers: Good Reports from Cone Reef and Niagara Reef areas. Pulling Bandits and DHJ12s at 1~1 45 foot back off the sides of the reefs. Pulling a lot of chrome or metallic baits on short leads up in the sun in afternoon sun.
Drifters: Blade and Jig bite report from Locust Little Pick and Cone has been promising. Not fast and furious but they were pulling some fish. Most are anchoring on fish and vertical jigging, or spot locking them, and dropping ice gear at them, some are running hair jigs (Slow is key)
Some good reports of nice Perch catches mixed in with the Walleye before the winds. I would try any of the normal Perch spots, next few days will be a bust with these winds. Had some good reports from A can and Niagara areas, and Green and Rattlesnake.
Fish are in the creeks and most likely the marinas. Been getting some decent reports as the water clarity improves. Several reports of good numbers and sized fish in the creeks.
Water temps continue to climb and they are doing better. With the upcoming warming trend they should be firing up.
