River levels are raised significantly due to winds. Freemont fishing has been very good. Things are mudded up on the lake and getting stirred up again with these winds. Wind forecasts are ugly again tonight then it should start to lay down. No-one on the lake today..
Trollers have been sending some Real Good Reports from Cone Reef and Niagara Reef areas pulling Bandits and DHJ12s at .7~1 45 foot back off the sides of the reefs. Also some reports from .8~1.4 pulling a lot of chrome or metallic Bandits on short leads.
Drifters are starting up again, Not fast and furious but they are pulling some fish on deeper reefs. Most are anchoring on fish and vertical jigging, or spot locking them, and dropping ice gear at them, some are running hair jigs (Slow is key)
Still getting some good reports of nice Perch catches mixed in with the Walleye. I would try any of the normal Perch spots, next few days will be a bust with these winds. Had some good reports from A can and Niagara areas, and Green and Rattlesnake.
Fish are in the creeks and most likely the marinas. Been getting some decent reports as the water clarity improves. Several reports of good numbers and sized fish in the creeks.
Some starting to get after them and a few have done good. Water temp still pretty low, levels have dropped and things are starting to clear a little which should help. Winds are going to push levels back up for next few days so it will be a little tough but they should be firing up.
