DON’T FORGET 2018 LICENSE NOW REQUIRED AS OF MARCH 1ST
River flows still high and muddy have things mudded up but winds have lessened and forecasts are an improvement going forward. Today should be a good day out there. Some struggled and some pulled fish yesterday.
Trollers have been pulling fish in the muddy water more than clean water. Most reports are still P10’s running at .5~1mph with 2oz snap weights. Lead programs vary with target depth and most running 1oz or 2oz snap weight 20’ in front of lure. Have heard some running Bandits as well.
Drifters were starting to show up but weather has killed that idea last few days, expect that to start up again with calmer winds. Some are anchoring on fish and vertical jigging, or spot locking them it’s been slow but they were pulling a few fish.
Have had some reports of nice Perch catches mixed in with the Walleye. I would try any of the normal Perch spots, next few days will be a bust with these winds.
Guys starting to chase them, expecting to start getting some reports as the water temps are starting to climb. Rivers and tributaries are still up and muddy from all the rains and winds.
Some starting to get after them and a few have done good. Waters are high and muddy so it will be a little tough but they should be firing up.
