10/7/19 Fishing & Hunting
Fishing & Hunting Reports:
Walleye: Bite continues to be good
Reports still coming from out front on Flicker minnows and Rattle Tots and most of the reef complex. Most have moved out a bit on the reefs to get out of the muddier water..
The fishing has been good on the reefs, the crawler harness bite continues to produce, and some are casting cranks as well. Expect the crank bite on the reefs and rip rap to improve quickly with the water temps dropping and hopefully cleaning up some.
Still good reports but sounds like the blow slowed them up some. Hopefully things will pick right back up again. Best reports have been from D & E Cans. Some reports from A & B as well, once they get going good hopefully it will spread quick.
Youth waterfowl special season was this past weekend and there were lots of birds in the area thanks to the weather. A lot of great reports. Also held a Youth combined waterfowl and upland hunt on Club grounds at Oak Harbor Conservation Club and it was a great hunt thanks to a lot of volunteer work. I saw a ton of smiling kids and that is what it’s all about.
Congrats to all the youth hunters that participated in our Youth Hunts this weekend at the Club…
